Join Our Adult Community Band in Austin, Texas

No audition is required to join the New Horizons Band of Austin.

Our band is primarily oriented toward adults age 50 and older, and the vast majority of our members fall into that category. However, we warmly welcome adult musicians of all ages who are interested in playing in a supportive and community-focused concert band.

If you are looking for a relaxed, friendly ensemble without the pressure of auditions or chair rankings, you will feel right at home.

Weekly rehearsals

We rehearse every Thursday* from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at

Tarrytown United Methodist Church - Fellowship Hall

2601 Exposition Blvd.

Austin, TX 78703

*Except Thanksgiving Day and the last 2-3 weeks of December/early January. Occasional cancelations due to weather or other factors beyond our control are possible. Upon joining the band, you would be automatically added to an email distribution list for any timely updates and other announcements.

Fellowship Hall is located at the northwest corner of the Tarrytown United Methodist Church complex, near the corner of Exposition Blvd and McCullough St.
